Nashville rapper Namir Blade follows up his interstellar concept album, “Aphelion’s Traveling Circus,” with another stellar release. Whereas “Aphelion’s…” was guided by a surreal afro-futurist storyline, “Imagine Everything” is all beats and bravado. Produced entirely by North Carolina-based producer L’Orange, the album presents a cohesive sonic palette to showcase Namir’s unique, soulful flow and vision. Lyrically Namir is once again in top form and the backing sound is pure head-nodding boom bap, beats built around nostalgic melodies from the world of psych rock and soul. From what I’ve heard, these guys really can’t miss and I can’t wait to hear what they come up with next.
